Program for USAG Members
The USAG program has enjoyed a long-term relationship with insurance provider Griffin McLean, which has resulted in very competitive and stable premiums over the years. The carrier has a Best Rating of A, and it is a local/domestic carrier.
Benefits Include:
- Continuation credit based on group losses
- Owner/operator Protection and Indemnity coverage
- Vandalism, Excess Collision Liability/RDC coverages
- $50,000 Pollution Buy Back, excluding fines and penalties
- Personal Effects coverage for crew members
- Trailering within a 50 mile radius of your home port
- Survey Fee reimbursement as per Fleet Guidelines
- Occasional Profit Sharing

How to join the insurance program:
- Fill out an Application_and_Fishing_History form and fax, email or mail it to Griffin MaClean. Then call Griffin MacLean and get a quote for your insurance needs. Do a cost analysis to see what is best for you?
- Join USAG. You must keep up your membership dues each year to stay eligible for the program.
- Contact your local chapter board member to do a walk through inspection. A local board member or the executive director must take a brief look at your vessel to ensure we are not adding a hazard or an extreme risk to the other members who are also a part of the program.
Note: there may be some exceptions, if you are already insured by Griffin MaClean.
